Historical Curiosities

The original statue of Cupid and Psyche is the work of the famous sculptor Antonio Canova, created between 1787 and 1793. It represents a moment of passion and tenderness, a symbol of eternal love. The story, narrated by Apuleius in his Metamorphoses, is an example of love and redemption.

Maintenance

Marble is a material that requires attention. In case of dust, we recommend cleaning it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which could damage the delicate finish of the sculpture. To preserve its integrity, it is recommended not to expose the sculpture to direct sunlight for long periods, in order to avoid the natural yellowing of the marble.
